Hi guys, over the past week I decided to read Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix by J.K Rowling, I have already read her amazing series once before but the first time round I didn't read the order of the phoenix (OOTP) as I was quite intimidated by the size of it...however this time I felt I would be able to read it all without a problem, I was right.
First of all I'd like to say that I feel a lot happier having read it, it means that some parts of the story that were lost to me have been revisited and now I can place those final puzzle pieces, I'd also like to point out how clever J.K's writing is, she eludes to things in each book in such a subtle way that - if reading the series for the first time - you would never notice were parts of the bigger storylines, other than the fact J.K is an amazing author, the story has so many twists and turns that the reader is able to stay immersed in the pages instead of becoming bored and putting the book down.
The parts I liked best we're (as always) Fred and George Weasley's hilarious antics both inside and outside of Hogwarts, I also enjoyed the development of Hermione and Ron's relationship which in this book becomes more obvious, another thing I found quite amazing about this book is that the reader is able to feel, through J.K's words all of Harry's emotions and to someone who reads a lot that is something we look for, to be able to identify and understand the characters inside the story.
Overall I really enjoyed reading this book and I'm glad that I finally got round to it as knowing that I hadn't completed the series made me feel like a failed fan, now however I have read all 7 books and loved every one of them...mischief managed!
