Hello again my lovely readers, I know I said yesterday that finishing Girl online in 3 days was a big thing, so imagine how shocked I am to find myself back here again today writing about a book I started reading less than 24 hours ago!
I have to say I have mixed feelings about this book, I was intrigued by the storyline (who doesn't find student/teacher relationships interesting let's be honest) and although I thought it was a good book...I can't shake the feeling that it's a bit TOO depressing in parts, I know that this was intended to make the reader relate to the character more but honestly there were times when I wanted to stop reading just because I couldn't deal with reading one more negative thing. But maybe that's more to do with the reader than the way the story is written, I don't know.
The ending made me cry (again!) which means it must be a good ending right? otherwise why would a reader get so emotionally invested in it? overall I'd probably give the book a 3.5 out of 5 because it was well written and I did enjoy the more upbeat parts of the story but I couldn't give it a higher rating because of how many times I wanted to put it down.
I managed to get a copy of Girl Online: On Tour so I think I'll be reading that next (let's see how many days it takes me to get through this one!) I also got a copy of the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and it looks gorgeous so I can't wait to dig in to that one as well.
For now, good night and thank you for reading!
