Hey everyone, so I finished this book in record time (just 3 days!!!) now some people might be able to read that fast anyway and those people might be thinking 'why is she so excited about that' but as I'm pretty sure I've mentioned at some point - over the last couple of years I felt like I've somewhat been losing my passion for reading - so for me to have finished a book in 3 days is a pretty big deal.
Now, onto the actual review...before starting this book I have to admit I had some reservations, I really like Zoella and the things she's done so far but part of me was thinking 'if she's so good at everything else, can she really be a good writer too?' the answer to that is yes, she most definitely CAN be an amazing writer because let me tell you, this is a pretty good book!
I really really enjoyed reading this book, it has everything a book like this SHOULD have, a fun plot with a twist to keep a reader gripped, lovable characters, and of course there has to be comedy and Zoella hits all the right points with this, seriously...I'm kinda ashamed of myself for doubting her.
I think the audience for this book might be aimed at people slightly younger than me but that didn't stop me from enjoying it, there were a few things that led me to guess the plot twist before it had happened but that didn't put me off either and when it came around I still felt all the emotions along with Penny (the POV character) and I did actually cry at one point.
Considering this was Zoe's first foray into the writing world I think she did an amazing job and I can't wait to go and get a copy of the sequel - Girl Online: on tour.
A great big thumbs up for this one!, up next is Me and Mr J by Rachel McIntyre, also to anyone who enjoys this blog and has an instagram account, I've started a book blogging account on there so feel free to follow me (@book_maiden) until then happy reading everyone!
